But how does starving third world countries detract from the problems of the American food system? What about antibiotic resistance caused by industrial farms where animals are kept in filthy, confined spaces causing them misery and illness thus needing antibiotics to survive the horribly unnatural living conditions? Honestly, its unfortunate that many developing countries are starting to adapt the model of the American food system with all the environmental and social damage that comes with it.
Perhaps we do have plenty of low-grade malnutrition going on right here in the US afterall. Now maybe thats why theres an epidemic of chronic disease and domination by the pharmaceutical-medical complex that takes advantage of epidemic illness for profit, power, and politics.
