Hell is an imaginary place, as he should know, so why would it traumatize you more than being sexually violated? So its okay for pseudoskeptics to declare such a vile act as acceptable though no one else would probably get away with doing similar.
Apparently, a certain prominent atheist and "skeptic" said that pedophilia is less harmful than the religious belief of hell. I must say thats totally weird (then again pseudoskeptics are weird). Its okay to be sexually violated as a kid, but believing in hell is worst?

It seems that Greenmed has stepped into the political arena with an article on the Syria case. Really it does relate to the case in a way as the president of Rodale (in a letter) takes issue with the hypocrisy of the Untied States allowing everyday corporate pollution right here at home yet the military-industry complex attempts to declare war on another country for committing the same chemical pollution against their own people. Of course, the media calls it chemical warfare when it happens outside the US, but at home its called "business as usual".
Honestly, I wish alternative health sites would simply stay out of the political area altogether. Thats why I originally lost interest in Naturalnews as they devolved into politics/religion about three years ago. It wasn't even the conspiracy theory tone that turned me off as I don't necessarily dismiss that line of thinking. But it was distracting from the original message of alternative health and gave less force to Adams ridicule of the conventional medical paradigm (which I did very much enjoy). Now I don't dismiss the importance of politics or the US intervention in international affairs, but it would be nice if just one alt. health site would stay out of the political aspect, except for sites like ANH that deal with legislative issues affecting supplement availability and the many food-farm freedom sites. But do we need to delve into the years long issues going on in the middle eastern conflicts? I'm a part of the public that doesn't want the US striking Syria. Lets deal with the issues going on at home, not getting further involved with middle eastern conflicts. The issues affecting this country such as income inequality, unemployment, degrading environment, corporate takeover, and health crisis need to be dealt with before attempting to intervene in another country's affairs. Though its entirely possible that their pushing war to keep the profitable military-industrial machine turning so once again we need to deal with corporate takeover in the US. The only ones who won't be profiting are the areas that can't possibly benefit the industrial complex, which would mean a vast part of the food, farming, health, housing, and job sector. We don't need more drones and weapons. There needs to be an overhaul of the US economy and society to get away from corporations taking over the commons with their profit-driven motives like fracking, nonrenewable energies, water shortages in southern states, and climate change. You need water, food, and health. Not more war. |
