Theres far more at stake than having to pay more than 75 cents for a pack of Ramen noodles at Wal-Mart. Poor people should not be forced to live on cheap, low-quality food. And trying to force them is true elitism as your claiming only rich people should be allowed healthy food. In fact, if anyone is truly against elitism they should follow "nature's way" and shun processed, packaged food. People are not seperate from nature so why should they pretend in the grocery store that they are?
Its especially interesting when a community of supposed aware people who intelligently avoid reproduction for at least some environmental reasons claim to hate healthfooders and non-medical people. Hell, buying grassfed beef is best way to help end dominance of Big Ag with all its chemical, monoculture machinery reliance. The purpose of organic food is that decades of documentation have shown higher disease rates in communities where chemical exposure from factory farming and plants is regular.
Actually, it amazes me people still don't understand that everyone should have a right to organic, wholesome food. It should be the norm not cheap packs of nutritionally-worthless ramen noodles.
