Indeed, did the chicory choose to be blue, making it blind in the eyes of pollinators, amongst a field of brightly colored yellow goldenrods and pink butterfly weed? We may assume not. I may be genuinely interested in alternative health, but might still enjoy being in a group that doesn't share my interest. But they are not blind to my private studies or interest. At all times in every way people carry their own perception for the better or worst. And anything inbetween. Perception and it's potential blindness can be of the informed type originated from system of thinking one is conditioned to reside in. If all is based on mechanical Newtonian paradigm then that individuals conclusions formed from that. Instead if they are more of the radical type and reject mainstream materialism then they form their basis for further study on this paradigm.
It may be less of an issue of conformity, but the fact that most people work too many hours or have too many obligations tying them down take the time out for intelllectual and alternative pursuits. Perhaps the "fringe" would be less fringe. For we may find in ourselves a world more than merely reflective of the multi-faceted that seeks to be unhindered of small physical limits. And this inner world we too often project into reality, which ends up with those of real seeking nature being accidently thrown away with todays fads. May we then know the great truths of Cayce and other outside their accepted customs of the day.
Accepted theories often abound for reasons of convenience and profit even if the less acceptable can be so equally. But the herd refuses to see the poison for the chemical. One in the same yet different when two shores are separated by the same pond. In pond of mass custom the TV god and its countless experts shout all the theories we care to hear in our mind. On the bottom we live in a digital world that threatens to take over always our comfortable ways if we only allow it. Still we are left with our first resolutions that are born of paradigms and ingrained behaviors that react instead of remaining open. In ways over I feel insulted when another from a different paradigms steps into the one I may feel of better knowledge. Its not about wanting the best, but knowing that the human state can do better than conformity, could ever serve. For its purpose is to hold us down instead of allowing any true freedom from the many pathologies affecting spirit. We can't roam at the spiritual or mental whim the mythology of mainstream holds us in bounds.
