Honestly, I'm not trying to say math/science isn't important but society puts too much emphasis on these fields and not enough on arts and creative thinking. The affect of a left brain bias plays out in the real world by increasingly destructive takeover by technology or emotionally underdeveloped members of academia getting the credibility in decision-making. Its why so many "new" solutions simply go around in circles instead of taking account of long-term consequences (right brain job).
One of the reasons I support homeschooling is because it gives right-brain people a safe haven from the dominance of a linear, overly logical left-brain world.
