Honestly, even if GMOs were shown to be "okay", I'd still be suspicious of a billion dollar biotech industry. We all know by now that agribusiness is intent on shoving anyone who gets in their way out. Why trust them on GMOs, pesticides, health advice, or anything else? Humans are too often naive in their absolute trust of technology anyways. Its been known for over a hundred plus years now that certain chemicals can disrupt or rearrange the millions of molecules in the human body so why would the same not be true for genetically-modified genes?
But at the end of the day you could still say no ones opposed to technology, their opposed to an industrial product. And this industrial producer holds an ideology themselves that gives almost religious-like reverence to technology. Perhaps we need the "radical environmentalists" afterall.
