I would not mind having most people in the alternative health community in my home as they seem like good people. But the supposed skeptics I wouldn't want to be anywhere around as the above stated sexism is a sign of overall hateful attitude within the "skeptic" crowd. You'd think that sign would be obvious to anyone. But I guess when your used to denying anything outside your own worldview you can't even see the bad behavior of the same community.
Well, it's not a coincidence that the holistic health crowd has many women advocates. Women, afterall, are better at intuitional and emotional thinking thats grounded in making connections to the natural world. While the masculine side is more prone to suppression and domination of nature. Honestly much of the history of the War On Alternative Medicine can first be traced back to the witch-hunt days in Europe where any women with skill in herbal healing was labeled a "witch". Then she was persecuted while male doctors went on poisoning their patient-victims with mercury and bloodletting. Same old story today.
Holistic healers are still being persecuted for using natural remedies like supplements while conventional doctors get away with using potentially toxic drugs. Militant new atheist have branded a misogyny of their own that despises the feminine side like intuition and emotional development (something they clearly lack).
Sometimes, I do believe that the "skeptic" movement is really about banning alternative medicine and "healthfood". They want everyone to be dependent on the industries that fund them such as Big Pharma, Big Food, Big Ag...
I'm not a believer or a disbeliever. Anything is possible until shown elsewise. I prefer an open-mind to the rigid rationality of atheist-skeptics. It's presuming to say whether or not something like god, conspiracy theories, or unexplained phenomenom is false.
The modern skeptic movement is largely nothing more than know-nothing bullies ganging up on fringe topics and ridiculing them to make themselves feel superior. As I've said elsewhere, modern pseudo-skeptics are following a trend of materialistic paradigm helped by the establishment. It almost makes me believe in those conspiracy theories about global elites trying to control the herd. Maybe their hiring these skeptic orcs to do their dirty work of trolling alternative health sites. Actually, it's scary the way people can be so convinced of the secular-skeptic monoply over "truth. Not to mention their overall sociopathic behavior and sexual perversion.
I don't know why the new atheist movement is given so much credence. Probably cause they go right in line with the establishment. Everything from their hatred of alternative medicine to their dismissal of conspiracy theories. To them science is the end-all of everything, but in that way they turn science into a type of religion. An absolute belief in disbelief. And they believe their absolute disbelief is the truth.
Surely hating someone for holding different views puts you on the same level as a religious fundamentalist. When we think of a "hate group" we may think of someone committing a crime in show of support for their group, but we miss the secular ideologies that lead people to blocking innovative medical therapies and progress. And the so-called skeptics are simply another example of a group hating on another group for their differing views.
Besides theres so many other groups out there doing good work for the world and are far worthier of attention then the publicity-chasing "skeptics".
Do I believe in the paranormal? What about all the other things labeled a "delusion" by the pro-establishment defenders of this Age of Materialism? Indeed, we live in an age of deception that misinforms people in every way, confusing them in their minds. Really I think the pseudo-skeptic crowd are an illusion created by the reflecting mind of humanity that misguides itself. Dismissing alt. health is usually an instant write-off by me. Of course, their dismissing conspiracy theories cause thats what establishment shills always do. They hide under the guise of rationality (whatever that means) and science to not let people onto the fact that their proselytizing the cult of Scientism. (I don't have a problem with science, but really its the scientific establishment that supposed skeptics treat and obey like a cult.)
Is there really such a thing as objectivity? No, because we all view the world through our own viewpoint. As humans we can't look beyond the anthromorphic taint we imbibe everything around us with. It comes from both ends of spectrum. Even the naturalistic-secularist view is limited by a nonbelief in anything outside perceived reality. But that reality is only seen from viewpoint of viewer.
What the skeptics don't seem to realize is that it's entirely possible to experience paranormal or otherwise unexplainable and still not believe in it. Pathological disbelief can be just as limiting as fanatical belief. If you don't expect expect to see ghost- then do- you could still walk away denying them.
