I have always believed that anything is possible (despite my rather nihilistic view on procreation and parenthood at times). Afterall, the scientific method was invented and used by humans. Why should we assume we are capable of knowing everything? Was not that religion's claim that we humans are center of universe? Of course, science is "not based on belief", but it assumes reality isn't subjective. Maybe aliens are channeling science into our minds (that was a line I used in one of my poems, check it sometime) or perhaps we humans are an alien race put here millions of years ago. Does our reality really have the ability to understand the synergy running throughout the universe? To know that it may not all be based in the material?
Could god possibly be an atom pervading in all or our brains evolving towards spiritual abilities. Free will could move a notebook across my room without me even picking it up and there may be vast plot to kill off human race. Fluoride, toxins, processed food of every sort created to cull the masses. Vaccines are vast conspiracy to turn humans into mutants, a global new world order attempts to usurp all, and the end times loom ever nearer.
But whether something may or may not be true we should take it as most productive to consider the most likely. What shall get me through the day? Going along with the establishment assumption is an easier day indeed.
