It's definitely interesting though as it makes me wonder. if I was channeling beings from another universe that told me secret knowledge would I turn it into a religion? Would I even tell anyone preferring to keep it to myself? Then again I've never cared for believing someone elses secret and prefer to find my own spiritual path. And thats something that the pseudoskeptics don't seem to appreciate because they are mechanical robots without consciousness.
Just got done reading some articles on "skepticism" and a lead debunkers of skeptical culture. Actually, the real name for them should be pseudo-skeptic as their totally closed off to any true inquiry into a subject matter that goes outside their paradigm. If these hordes of atheists and humanists are so above the rabble then why don't they do some real skepticism instead of their fervent denial? Theres a world beyond the street-side psychics who they use as an example of the supernatural or anything unexplainable as being a hoax. Just as theres a world beyond the paradigm blindness that afflicts the secular community. if your really above the rabble then take a step to the middle. It's not skepticism, but denialism thats spreading misinformation on topics that have long been on the fringe.

The new atheism movement seems to be where many of these skeptic types come from and they deride the alternative medicine community as a "fraud" and "no evidence". Heres a great article from NNs on what the skeptic crowd really believes. It sums it up pretty well and is reason I wouldn't trust skeptics and place my doubt on this new atheist crowd, too. Now I'm not defending any particular organized religion or elsewise, but am simply commenting on the arrogant, narrow-minded part of the "new" atheist group that bashes anything that goes outside the materialistic explanation for the world.
~ The new atheism crowd seems to put "left-brain" thinkers above "right-brain" thinkers. So they consider someone lesser of a person or irrational if they don't have a "rational" view of world? That causes me not to take atheism in general very seriously. No, I don't always want to bow to the secular "gods" of scientism and materialism for answers. Despite my "right-brain" mind I'm a weirdo who goes against some establishment ways and enjoys heresy. Is there something wrong with thinking differently? Its been known for some years now that a skeptic movement exists, which seems to be made up of atheist-materialists-rationalists who deny anything outside the Doctrine of materialism and place all their "faith" in the scientific establishment. These groups of "skeptics" have caused many problems in the area of alternative science and lifestyles by attempting to suppress, harass, ridicule, and discredit them whether or not theres evidence. Of course, as I'm apart of the alternative medicine community I've long been aware of such a group though I don't usually devote my energy to fighting with them. I have better things to do with that energy. But through a reading of various comments on alternative health sites and other sites I've personally seen the noxious, cantankerous attitude of these self-professed atheist-skeptics who deride anything that goes against their belief in reductionism and materialism. It's very dispiriting and depressing for me and I know for others as well. On these same alt. health sites you can clearly see from the skeptic deniers comments that they want everyone to disregard alternative medicine and rely solely on pharmaceuticals. Thats been the mission of the skeptic crowd for a long time now. But they know their failing miserably as millions of Americans become more interested in alternative med. and reject Big Pharma-dominated sickcare system. Of course, skeptics don't care about people and will allow them to deny from toxic Big Pharma "treatments" instead of them using affective, safer alternatives. And all this has been known in the alternative med. community for some time.
But it goes beyond even that as "skeptics" try to put down anything that seems to be connected to the religion they abhor (though they are fundamentalists themselves). People who think differently (non-rationalist-materialist), alternative medicine, paranormal, alternative science, immaterial explanations, origins of universe, existence of a god, etc. all seem to be denounced as bunk by the atheist skeptics who think only science can provide explanations. Below I try to give me answer to the skeptic community. ~~~ Is reality actually real? Or does reality only appear to us in the limited sphere of our rational existence? Rationality is to mean having a reason for something that happens in nature, but is it only the world we can experience that is rational? To me reality and so-called rationality have always been subjective. Not just in definition and also in the way we experience world around us. For example, as described by a fellow alt. health community member who said that even when one of her patients are cured by a natural remedy they sometimes still don't believe it. Truly skepticism is simply another form of dogma. It is a nonbelief that leads to denial that in turn leads to a worldviews that only believes in material. If you don't believe in something and refuse to only see what you want then how could you ever "see" anything else? You'd think this be obvious to so-called bright skeptic-atheists. But no. I'll go further and say we're all religious, believers, conspiracy theorists, and deniers in some form or another. A secular god should be one defined by our comfort zones that guarantees conformity stemming from a particular worldview. Naturalistic or supernatural. If we subscribe to the naturalistic world as a way of life then you will always uphold the Doctrine of materialism. The scientific establishment is made into a religion of sorts. All demands for proof will only be filtered in the mind operating the method. Honestly, skeptic deniers have their own secular fairytale in the form of Big Pharma, industrial agriculture, toxic chemicals, consumerism, materialism, and absolute belief in the establishment of the day.
